Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, configure integrations or contact support. This includes your email address, business name and WhatsApp Business credentials (stored encrypted).
We also collect usage data — which features you use, error logs and performance metrics — to improve the platform.
We do NOT store the content of WhatsApp messages on our servers beyond what is needed for real-time delivery. Message history is stored locally in your browser and on-device.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
• Provide, operate and improve the Waqly platform
• Send transactional emails (account setup, password reset)
• Respond to your support requests
• Monitor platform health and prevent abuse
We do not sell your information to third parties.
3. WhatsApp and Meta data
Waqly is built on the Meta WhatsApp Cloud API. When you connect a WhatsApp Business number, we store your Phone Number ID and Access Token (encrypted at rest) to route messages.
All WhatsApp message routing is subject to Meta's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are a data processor; your business is the data controller for your customers' WhatsApp data.
4. AI providers
When AI auto-replies are enabled, customer messages (or excerpts) are sent to your chosen AI provider (DeepSeek, OpenAI, Anthropic or Google) using the API key you supply. We do not store these message payloads — they are passed through in real time.
Each AI provider has their own data retention and privacy policy. Please review the policy of your chosen provider.
5. Data security
We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage for credentials, and HMAC signature verification for all webhooks.
Supabase is our database provider. Data is stored in the region you select at setup.
6. Data retention
Account data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 30 days after cancellation, after which it is permanently deleted on request.
